Kinetrol Blueline Actuators with Food Grade Coating

Kinetrol's "Blueline" Series of pneumatic vane actuators for use in foodservice and beverage processing. The actuators are intended to be installed in areas where harsh chemical wash-down is required. These areas are very tough on most types of pneumatic actuators because the caustic or acidic chemicals used in cleaning adversely effect the actuator. Kinetrol's Blueline Series provides a very economical option for use in these areas.

Blueline Actuators are permitted for use in contact with food in compliance with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDA) and all applicable regulations, including 21 CR 175.300 (Code of Federal Regulations). The new actuator has an applied coating that meets with the FDA's allowance whereby "Resinous and polymeric coatings may be safely used as the food-contact surface of articles intended for use in producing, manufacturing, packing, processing, preparing, treating, packaging, transporting, or holding food ...".

Good resistance to caustic washdown procedures
Exceptional resistance to chipping/flaking
In extreme circumstances, if the coating does become dislodged, it is visible to the human eye or the sensors/detectors used in food production
With this finish, Kinetrol products meet the requirements of BfR Lq - recognition that when in contact with food it will not transfer its constituents in quantities that could endanger human health
Good resistance in salt laden environments
Good non-stick properties
